Mark Keough Campaign (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which we collect, use, maintain, and disclose information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the www.markkeough.org website (“Site”).

We collect information to communicate with supporters, process donations, and comply with Texas election laws.
A. Personal Identification Information We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, volunteer, or make a donation. Users may be asked for, as appropriate:

Mailing address
Phone number
Occupation and Employer (Required by Texas law for certain donation amounts)
B. Non-Personal Identification Information We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. This may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized.
2. How We Use Collected Information
The Mark Keough Campaign collects and uses Users’ personal information for the following purposes:
To comply with Texas Election Law: We are required by the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) to report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals who contribute over a certain amount in a reporting period.
To process donations: We use the information users provide about themselves when placing a donation only to provide that service. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service (e.g., payment processors like WinRed or Anedot) and comply with legal reporting requirements.
To send periodic emails and texts: We may use the email address or phone number to send User information and updates pertaining to the campaign, community news, or volunteer opportunities.
To improve our Site: We strictly use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)
If you opt-in to receive text messages from us, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages (e.g., campaign updates, donation requests) from the Mark Keough Campaign.
Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the short code. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply.
4. Sharing Your Personal Information
A. General Sharing Policy We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners and trusted affiliates for the purposes outlined above.
B. Strict No-Sharing Policy for Mobile Information Notwithstanding the above, no mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
C. Legal Compliance We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or to the Texas Ethics Commission as required by the Texas Election Code.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
